Weekly Class Descriptions

This class includes balancing poses intended to solidify internal strength and awareness. Suitable for beginners and all levels.

  • Heated Slow Flow

Slow flow yoga builds on the foundational postures learned in basic classes and introduces a flow which links postures, breath and movement in a focused, flowing sequence of seated, standing and balancing yoga postures. This class is meant to challenge students to gain strength and flexibility, detoxify and find the inner calm marked with an overall sense of well being. Suitable for beginners and all levels. The room will be heated to 82 degrees or above for this class.

  • Parksinson's Recovery Fitness

    PWR! Moves

PWR! stand for Parkinson Wellness Recovery. These are exercises based on big movements and function. They were developed by Dr. Becky Farley, who also developed the LSVT BIG protocol. The exercises were designed to target PD specific symptoms that are typically affected such as posture, flexibility, balance, and functional movement. We exercise in many different positions such as standing, sitting, on hands and knees, on your stomach, and on your back. We provide modifications for all positions.

  • Woman in a standing stretch pose

    Stretch & Strengthen

The best of both worlds; Incorporates long held poses intended to release tension from the deeper layers of the body in the connective tissue/fascia. The longer holds promote flexibility and mobility and influence the nervous system, lowering the stress hormone, cortisol. Also instructed into a sequence of standing, seated, prone, balancing and reclined postures meant to strengthen the body and mind through yoga techniques and postures, this class is the perfect balance. Beginners & All Levels.

  • Woman in lotus position near a lit candle

    Candlelight Gentle Yoga

Enjoy the soothing environment of candlelight in this class. Gentle Yoga focuses on stretching and releasing tension from the body and mind. The poses in this class are intended to wind you down from the day's dealings. These movements are slow and deliberate with some longer held poses meant for relaxation. Suitable for beginners and all levels.

  • Woman in yoga pose near lit candle

    Candlelight Yin Yoga

Enjoy the soothing environment of candlelight in this class. Yin Yoga is a type of very slow yoga which works to influence the nervous system and bring about a calming effect to the mind, as well. Yoga poses are held for two and a half to seven minutes in order to stretch through layers of stress and tension built in the deeper layers of the body. These long holds deeply release the connective tissue and fascia of the body. Suitable for beginners and all levels.

  • Woman in yoga pose

    Hot Vinyasa

Burn off the stress and tension in this vigorous and strengthening class. Vinyasa is typically recommended for someone looking for a bit more intensity as it is a fairly strong physical class with an emphasis on matching breath with movement in a fluid sequence of yoga postures which focus on core strengthening and balance. The room will be heated to approximately 88 degrees for this class.

  • Man doing tai Chi
